Tivat airport is located just a few kilometers from the city center, about 10 minutes from the old town of Kotor, as well as the famous Porto Montenegro harbor for luxury yachts.
If your final destination is somewhere in Boka Kotorska (Tivat, Kotor, Herceg Novi, Risan, Perast, Kumbor, Bijela, Zelenika…) or in the municipality of Budva (Budva, Bečići, Pržno, Sveti Stefan, Petrovac, Buljarica), then Tivat airport is definitely a better choice than Podgorica airport because you will reach your destination faster.
Bus transportation from Tivat airport is not organized, so taxi transportation from the airport is the only choice. We definitely recommend scheduling transportation in advance, because taxis at the airport can be up to 70% more expensive than regular prices, which is the common situation at all airports.
